8 cups apple cider
1/4 cup brown sugar
2-3 cinnamon sticks
1 teaspoon whole cloves
A touch of fresh orange rind is nice too!
Mix apple cider and brown sugar together in a heavy pot. Stir until sugar dissolves. Drop the cinnamon sticks, cloves, and orange rind in a spice bag or you can use cheese cloth tied with a string. Put the bag in the pot. Simmer on low heat for 15-20 minutes.
